How To Style a Classic Coat with an Edgy Twist

Every year when the Nordstrom sale happens I literally put about 15+ items in my dang cart and then I buy about 1 - 2 items only because I get guilty!  I cannot possibly be alone in this! However, this year, I could not stop looking at this Ralph Lauren front drape coat. I knew that the style was a classic fit that I've continuously seen year over year, and a piece that would become a staple in my wardrobe. I wore it to work recently on a colder day and got so many compliments as soon as I walked in the office. It's one of "those" coats that's worth every penny.

However, I feel like every core staple that you own is always fun when you style it with an edgy piece or two. In this post, I paired it with my Paige Verdugo Ultra-Skinny jeans, and fringe black booties. So secret about these booties, I got them from DB Shoes in Union Square in San Francisco by my work for under $30 because the entire store is 50% off. So I cannot link to them, but this is a super cute similar pair and these ones are under $60.

What really makes this look edgy (outside of my favorite sunnies ever in this Prada pair) is this amazing TOP. Can we talk about this top!? So to be honest, I have barely ever worn this top because it's super low cut and a bit risqué, however, after seeing it on and wearing it out I am kind of obsessed with it and will definitely wear it out somewhere in the near-future. The brand is PST Project Social T, and they have so many adorable tops. I'd actually never heard of the brand before until I found it at Nordstrom and I fell in love with this lace-up plunge top (on sale for under $15!), this off-the-shoulder v-neck grey top, and this neutral button-down. I've linked to everything I'm wearing below so you can snag anything too - or get it for someone special as a gift for Christmas!

Thanks for stopping by!
